Biswas Textiles
Ltd.(BTL), a Biswas Group Company, began its
activities nearly 10 years back in Savar, Dhaka.
Since then, it has been catering to the ever-growing
demands of the Clothing and Fashion industry, in the
domestic as well as the international markets.
Biswas Textiles Ltd. is a
leading textile company in Bangladesh, manufacturer
of (a) Woven: Polyester Based Micro Fabrics and
Nylon Taffeta (b) Knitted Fabrics: Polar Fleece,
Valor, Safra ,Cotton Fleece, Printed Fabrics (c)
Tri-Coat and others.
In recent years, the
company restructured its business portfolios to
focus as a textile company manufacturing Knitted
Fabrics for international markets.
A complete vertically
integrated plant, BTL has ultra modern production
facilities to convert wool tops to finished fabrics
through different processes of Dyeing, Spinning,
Weaving and Finishing using state-of-the-art
machinery imported from France, Germany, Switzerland
and Italy. Stringent quality checks at every stage
and process enabled BTL to bag the prestigious ISO
9001 certification. Keeping pace with the complex
requirements of the industry, BTL expanded its
production capacity to over 32400 ton per annum, of
which 80%-90% (approximately) is exported to major
countries across the globe.
The company has also
initiated steps to strengthen its organization and
induct the youth and skills necessary to attain
results from this strategic shift-cum-consolidation
exercise.

Future Plan
For the brilliant future,
the company has considerably focused on the
following excellent plans.
(a) Dyeing Unit:
The installation of the
most modern dyeing unit including continuous jet
dyeing machines is the target of the company which
would be accomplished very shortly.
(b) Enhancement of other
textile terms for export:
Keeping in view the
existing feedback from the buyers, in grey, bleached
and dyed forms of fabrics, the company has also
decided to divert to the production of printed
fabrics and made-ups. This will include the
production of bed sets of all kinds, table cloth,
cotton bags, napkins, comforters and quilt covers to
earn more and more foreign exchange for the beloved
country.
(c) Implementing ERP:
As it is an age of
Information Technology (IT) and the whole world is
relying on computers, the Management has taken a
major dicision to implement fully integrated ERP
system for BTL. BTL is an Export oriented company,
which would be groundbreaking change in company
culture.
(d) Exploring the Mew
Markets:
The management of BTL is
keenly interested in the exploration of new markets
and new textile buyers around the globe. Presently
company’s target is to enter and explore the
possibilities in North America, South America,
Australia and other African countries.
